About Me

My favorite part of the writing process has always been revision—shaping a draft, fine-tuning each sentence, and reworking language until every word feels purposeful and clear. As a writing coach, I get to do what I love most: guide motivated college students as they refine and elevate their work, helping them submit, apply, and present their best selves to their dream schools with confidence.

My name is Stacy Walston. I am a former English and Language Arts educator with 25 years of experience in the writing classroom. I hold a Master’s Degree in Professional Education from Morningside University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Communications from the University of Iowa, with an emphasis in writing. In addition to education, I have  background in freelance copy editing, having worked with a Los Angeles-based ghostwriter and Igniting Souls Publishing Company.
